Trying to replace the wiper motor assembly on this '89 gmc s-15. (it looks like to me) that I have to remove the wiper arms, and the grille below these to get to the crank arm of old motor. cant get the wiper arms or this grille off (yes the bolts have been taken off) Now what do I do?

Lift the arm away from the window.

Look at the base of the wiper arm.
There is a small hole in it that when the arm is pulled away from the glass you can stick a small nail or allen wrench through the hole.
This will keep the pressure of the arm off of the glass.
Then you simply pull the arm off of the shaft with a slight wiggle motion.

**there are some that also have a lock underneath the arm, but those are very few, most just have a "U" shaped clip**

good luck
