Need some advise

I own a 1994 Caprice Classic 9C1. Recently I have been having issues with the vehicle cooling down properly. Temperature gauge reads high (Close to Red) when I am in traffic.

My cooling fans along with the relays do work. I have tested each relay (2) and the fans independantly. They are all fuctioning according to the trouble shorting tests I have done.

My coolant is new, my thermostat is less than 6 months old, all hose are in perfect shape. Car has no external or internal leaks and no coolant is being lost.

I need some advise on what I should be trouble shooting next. I find myself handy but am at a loss on this situation. :(

May sound silly but check for debris in the grille area.

Don't feel bad everyone on my dept that drives a chevy has the same issues. When summer hits the ac never works either. They have never been able to get it fixed and i've had a chevy for 8 years. There may be 3 on our dept that don't run hot.

I have seen guys put in a manual override for the fans.

A switch under the dash for high and low can really help keep the pwrtrain under the critical temperature before the thermostat kicks in.

A great tool for city driving.
