2001 Other GMC Models Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2001 GMC C6500 with 3 issues. Are they related?
1) Engine dies occasionally for no apparant reason. Engine light came on once, I tested code which read PO335, cranckshaft sencor circuit malfunction. Reset light and it hasn't come back on, but truck has died. Starts again after sitting 2 or 3 minutes.
2) Automatic transmission hard shifts up and down.
3) Installed trailer brake assist and can't get consistant voltage through stoplamp wire (white wire). Sometime hot, sometimes not.

Number 3 seems obviously electrical/wiring related. Could they all be related?

Did all the problems start when you wired the trailer?

The hard shift has been there all along. The engine had stalled once before the trailer was wired, but is continuous problem since.
