what is wrong? The gas filter was taking off and blow through could it now be the fuel pump?

Just because you can blow through the fuel filter, does not mean it's good. You also need to check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. you could have a weak pump, bad pres. regulator, or a bad pump relay.
