2000 GMC C1500 Valve Clatter

Valves clatter when going uphill, transmission seems to be in too high of a gear. When more gas is applied, trans downshifts, valves clatter but smooth out after downshift.

Make sure your oil level is full as it sounds as if it's srevving to high. You might take your truck to a transshop and have them give it a look over as thata may be causing it.
