How much would it run me to fix the front axle on my geo prism? For the parts, and work?

If you are talking about the CV axle, you can buy new ones (aftermarket) at many auto parts stores for $60-75. Labor would be maybe 1-2 hours at whatever rate the garage charges. Have them install a new seal (transmission axle seal) while they are at it.

They may charge retail for the axle ($110) plus labor. If they buy a new Toyota axle you can expect to pay a lot more for it.
