First my speedometer suddenly stopped working. I removed the cable.

Next, driving a short distance a loud clunking noise occurred with a massive transmission leak.

I babied the car 5 miles back and parked. I added a quart of transmission fluid and it poured straight through. Upon examination of the transmission case I discovered 3 chunks had blown out midway up the housing close to
where the two halves of the case bolt together.

To move the car a few feet can I used some type of special epoxy to slow down this massive leak?

also exactly what went wrong so quickly and massive with the tranny. I have a feeling there is loose chunk or a gear chugging internal in the case.

Finally it sounds to me like this old car is now a charitable gift.

The repairs would probably cost more than the car's
value by a large sum! Could I be wrong.
i would appreciate some serious advice and help from someone who is a true transmission specialist. I'm williing to pay for knowledgeable advice from a transmission specialist.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

You have suffered a major internal failure, possibly a diff gear has shattered and the shrapnel had smashed the case, you can try and plug up the case, but I feel the internal damage will be terminal, the cost of repair will be high as the cars is destroyed, your cheapest option will be a transmission from the wreckers.
