When installing freeze plugs I would definatelty not recommend using JB Weld to install. A trick some old timer racing buddies taught me years ago was to use red or green loctite to install your freeze plugs. Reason for this is that Loctite expands and will fill any small gouges or imperfections in the freeze plug bore.
