Gears changes at high rev's

The gears changes at high rev that is 4000 from one, two and three then stay there cannot go fourth gear but changes correctly manually.
And during an overtaken it used to pick up top gear for faster acceleration but that too is no more.

Hey MBIR ,

It sounds like you may have a catalytic converter that is starting to plug up. What happens is the vacuum is low in the engine becasue of the plug so the computer thinks you are going up a big hill making the transmission shaft later. Here is a guide to help see if the cat is the problem.

I changed the convertor but it was a metallic honey comb not breakable type.

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure first yo may have a tcm problem or valve body problem as well as a seal/clutch pak bad or even a roller clutch bad in trans.

Tcm is transmission control module and valve body is inside transmission or internal transmission problems
