I have the truck listed above 2500hd and I'm having a problem with my gears all stuck in drive. The truck turns on and off. However, when started every gear (park, neutral and reverse) all only move forward if you touch the gas. It will go into park, but if you press the gas forward only. It won't go into reverse all it still only moves in drive. In neutral it does roll freely but when started again only forward. What could this possibly be? I would greatly appreciate the help- Richard

I need to clarify what is happening. You said it goes forward in all gears but then you said that it will go into park but if you touch the gas, it will move forward.

So, if it moves forward when it is in park, then it is not actually in park.

Please let me know if when in park and neutral and you step on the pedal if the vehicle moves forward.

If this is the case, then we have a manual valve issue that is stuck or other internal issue that is keeping the forward clutch engaged which makes the vehicle move in any gear.

We need to start with checking the fluid level and condition.

This is going to give us an idea as to what could be happening inside the unit.

Next thing is to check for codes.

Let's start with this info and we can go from there. Let me know if you have questions or what you find.

Thanks
