gauges quit working and then it died

I was driving it this morning and in my way home I noticed the ABS light was on then the fuel,oil,temp gauges weren't working,so when i got home i shut it off and waited a awhile and then all it did was click in the fuse box. What could be wrong ?

Start by measuring the battery voltage. If it's 12.6 volts, it's full-charged. If it's 12.2 volts, it has run down and needs to be recharged. Suspect the generator is not working. If it's around 11 volts it has a shorted cell and must be replaced.
