Just had to replace the fuel pump and the van starts fine, but if I start it then cut it off for a short time it does not start, its like it is flooding without touching the gas pedal. But if I let it sit for forty five to fifty minutes it starts right us? What did I miss?

There is a possibility the fuel injectors are the cause of the problem. When engine is turned off, one or more injector could be stuck open or not closing fully, allowing fuel to get into the cylinders resulting in flooding.
Are there any noticeable issues with driveability?
