Fuel pump went out on our van, replaced with a used one because of the high cost of a new one. It works but the gas gauge reads as full always. I have run out of gas several times because of not knowing how much gas I have. Can it be fixed without having to buy the full price of 300.00 for a new one?

Hello,

It sounds like the sending unit on the replacement pump is faulty.

See attached for the sending unit replacement procedure.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
