Good evening,

Does this piece cover a hole at the bottom of the unit?

What is on the other side?

I do not see it listed anywhere separately.

Did you replace just the motor or the entire unit?

Yep, I agree. The part is not available on its own.

What did you pay for just the pump?

Could be fuel pressure itself. The level is what it has in common. The lower the level the less amount of fuel by the pump.

What did you find and where?

Do you mean fuel pump is faulty? How can I check for sure? Fuel pressure test on this models need a expensive adapter and no where has it in my place. I find a little plastic thing that I mentioned and I don't know what's it's name from a seller who sells second hand parts.

Very possible it is the pump.

Is that piece from another fuel pump? You cannot use anything from a parts store that caps off a line. It will disintegrate in fuel.

You are welcome.

It is possible but I doubt it. The pressure would need to be tested first to be sure.

Did you check the parts stores for a tester you can rent?

No, but I don't think so. I do something else with my fuel system to. I clean my fuel filter with gunk fuel injection air intake cleaner. Fuel filter replaced 16,000 kilometres ago. Could it be a problem too?

No, there is a bypass in the filter for when it gets clogged.

I haven't ever had a starting or rough idling problem, but I know there is a problem that should fix for better performance. Can I check fuel pump except fuel pressure? If yes how?

You need to check the pressure. That is how you check the fuel pump.

We are still working on this. You need to test the fuel pressure.
