Want to know if there is a serviceable fuel filter located outside the fuel tank. I understand there is a strainer at the pump pickup/inlet and I think also one embedded in the regulator. Both of which are inside the tank if I'm not mistaken. Is there one between the tank and fuel rail?

Hello, I'm Danny.

There is no filter located in between the pump and fuel rail. The filter is built into the fuel pressure regulator assembly that's mounted on the top of the fuel pump assembly that is mounted in the fuel tank. I've attached picture steps below showing how to replace the fuel pressure regulator assembly on your car. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
