I need to replace the bottom heaters in the front seats of my 2003 Honda Odyssey. Any idea where I can get instructions? How do I get the seats apart?

Is it 8-way power, manual height adjustable or manual seats?

Are you replacing the bottom heater for both front seats?

I have the 8 way power leather seats. Only the bottom heater is not working, the back heater is working on both seats. The passenger seat is a manual seat.

The following diagram should help.

FRONT SEAT DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY - 8-WAY POWER

'02-04 model With Side Airbag

NOTE:
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations, (see AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article), and the precautions and procedures (see AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article) before performing repairs or service.

†For '03-04 models The operation of the driver's seat position sensor must be checked after any of these actions (see AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article ).

? Driver's seat position sensor replacement
? Cover plate (front side of driver's seat slide rail) replacement

NOTE:
†Route the seat wire harness correctly (see Front Seat Wiring
Harness Installation ).
†Make sure the bushing and pivot washer are installed correctly.
†Apply multipurpose grease to the moving portion of the seat
track.
†To prevent wrinkles in the seat-back cover, stretch the material
evenly over the pad.
†Replace the back panel clips with new ones.

I just purchased a 2003 Honda Odyssey EX-L from a private party. There are switches on the side of both the driver's side and passenger side front seats for the seat warmers. Neither light comes on when the switch is turned to the "on" position and the seats do not heat. I have replaced the 20 amp fuse under the hood which is specifically for the seat heaters. What can I check next? The former owner informed me that it worked in the spring when he last used the driver's side heater.

Did you check the #4 fuse (7.5A) under the dash fuse box?

I will check that fuse here shortly. Does that #4 fuse control other functions as well? I haven't noticed any other controls (power windows, radio, driver's power seat, etc, ) that didn't work inside the vehicle. I thought that the #8 fuse under the hood was the only fuse that specifically controlled the seat heaters.
