I have a 2002 windstar sport 102,000 miles 3.8 litre.
I was driving and the windows stopped working; air conditioner, fan stopped. A couple of miles later the engine sputters and quits. Jump started, but when removed the booster cables, stalled again. Replaced alternator and ran fine for 2 weeks. Same thing happened, replaced battery. Happened again one day later. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

There is a main wiring harness that runs between the engine and firewall that I have seen have issues. It gets corroded in there. It is tough to get to but can be pulled out with some effort and disconnection of the retaining clips. Un wrap it and you may find the wires corroded in there. IT requires cutting out the bad sections and reattaching them with quality connectors.

While this isn't a gauentee, it will save hundreds of troubleshooting dollars if wire tracing lead in that direction.
