Will not start

I have a 1997 Ford Lincoln Continental with 127,000 miles on it. My girlfriend called me last week on Monday and told me that the car would not start. I left work and went home and when I got there I got in it and it started right up. Well, here we are a week later and the car would not start again but this time I could not get it to start so, what can the problem be? Any help would be appreciated.

How is she starting the car? Sounds like it could be a flooding issue, But with that new of a year it should be FI so maybe find out what she is doing and narrow it down a bit more to get help.
