Heater problem
1998 Ford Windstar Front Wheel Drive Automatic 113000 miles

Our heater just stopped working. The temp. goes up when idleing and the heater is off. When the van starts moving or the rpm's go up, the heater will blow out some warm air and then dicipated into cold air again. When I pop-the hood....I see that the main hose from the radiator is suctioned flat. What is going on?

The hose is the problem. It will need replaced. This also could be caused by low coolant in the system. When you remove the hose, I recommend replacing both; they are cheap. Also, flush the heater core to make sure there is no blockage.

Let me know what you find.
