Engine Performance problem
2004 Ford Thunderbird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 15K miles

After sitting idle for about a week or more, the engine cranks for a very long time without indication of starting. Foot feed position seems to have no bearing on the problem. Finally, it will begin to hit, skip for a second and then catch. Afterwards, no problems and no symptoms. No more porblems until it sits for a week or more.

Got any ideas?

Try this next time, turn the key on for 4 seconds, then off then on for 4 more seconds, repeat four or five times, then see if it starts up OK, If it does, have fuel pressure tested and a bleed down test with it.
