99 Ford Taurus Brake Drum stuck

I have tightened the adjuster wheel on the rear brake shoes to tight and cannot get the drum off. Is there an easy way to release the tension off of the brake shoes.

IF the plug is still removed on the backing plate, use a flash light to see where the dog is that hold the adjuster wheel from turning. With a thin tool-screwdriver, push it back and the use another screwdriver or brake adjusting tool to turn the wheel.
