2005 Ford Taurus My car will start but wont Move when I put

Engine Performance problem
2005 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive 76886 miles

I was driving on the freeway going 80 when my car started to slow down and then stopped. I moved to the side and put the car on park and tried again and the same thing happened. I had to get towed home. My brother looked at the car and checked the all the fluids and everything ok. The transmmission fluid was checked when the car was running and was ok. I have a 2005 ford taurus. He did noticed that there is oil all over the bottom of the engine and the sides. Does anyone what this might be? Please help I don't want to get ripped off at the mechanics especially because I am a girl

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

What you will have to do first is get a line pressure test done, this will show if there is oil pressure to operate the system, if no pressure you may have a faulty torque converter or internal oil pump, start here.
