I cannot get my car out of park

Do your brake lights work? If you hit a curb or went up on a parking stop then put it in park and let off the brake when you got out it could put the weight of the vehicle on the transmission and it will take a good pull to get it out of park, or to be safer have someone rock the car when you try and take it out of park.
