I have a 1998 ford taurus I can smell oil and antifreeze everyonce in a while in the last week I have lost three quarts of oil only to discover that there was blown oil all over the sides of the motor and had coated the fire wall there was a slight amount dripping off the oil pan screws. Have any idea where the oil may be coming from

Usually, when you lose an unusually large amount of oil as you have, the problem is most likely the oil pressure sending unit. This is the main item that is exposed to full engine oil pressure, and the most likely to fail.

We find the oil pan gasket to be a famous thing to replace on them fords
check it under the crank pulley as you should be able to see if the gasket had slipped out
