I have a 96 SHO that cranks but will not start. I have received different opinions on it consisting of both exhaust issues and possibly timing chains. It gets fuel so I don't think it's on the fuel line. When cranking it does not let out any air or anything out of the tail pipes. I was told it might be a clogged cat conv but at the same time I was told that it might be a timing chain that slipped. Any suggestions?

Disconnect the exhaust pipe on the exhaust manifold if it fires up you've found the problem with the Cat, but you're not finish you need to find out what caused it. If not the Cat check the timing chain or belt
