Transmission problem
1994 Ford Taurus Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My sister was backing out of the driveway. When she shifted the gear out of reverse the linkage let go. When I crank the car and put it in gear, the column shifter slides fluidly. When I shift it from under the hood on the transmission by hand, it shifts into gear. I was wanting to know where I can get a shifting linkage diagram so that I can track down the problem. Can you send or refer where I can get a diagram? Thank you.
