1993 Ford Taurus floor lights switch

The light under the glove compartment (on the floor) remains on while all doors properly closed. Unable to locate the on/off switch for this light in the owner's manual

It should shut off with the dome light. Somewhere in the wiring, you have a short that is either providing power to it, or there is a ground problem and a different component is backfeeding power through the light to gain a ground. The only thing you can do is start checking for a wiring problem. Follow the power supply to the light looking for a damaged wire.
