1)Car will start but have to turn key to start position 3 or 4 times before it will catch and start.

2) Runs great while moving, when stopped and trying to go again it lags, take foot off of gas slightly and push down again it goes.
Think problems 1 and 2 are related, possibly fuel filter, but just changed it maybe 6 months ago.

3) Again car runs great while moving, but at idle and only at idle for more than 5 or 10 minutes and only when it is hot outside it overheats.
Maybe fan relay?

Perform a fuel pressure check to take out the fuel pump/regulator by using a fuel pressure gauge and come back with your readings this is where we start

It has a brand new fuel pump/regulator assembly. Replaced less than a year ago.

Check the coolant temperature and throttle position/MAF/MAP sensors-also the ignition switch-you need to verify the fuel pressure if its within specification. On EFI system the fuel pressure has to be right, for it to function properly
