Temperature gauge not working

Truck has antifreeze and is running fine. Went to start it this morning and saw that the temperature gauge was not going up. Tried giving the gauge assembly a little tap on the plastic to see if it was just stuck, but it is still not moving. Any idea's what it could be to cause that? A fuse? Temperature sensor anywhere on the engine? No warning lights or anything on the dash lighting up to say there is a problem.

Yes, it sounds like the engine coolant temperature sensor has gone out. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job:

Here is the location for your car next to the thermostat housing.
