I started it up and it felt like it was shaking a little?

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger 3.2 liter. I really haven't had a problems with it until this weekend. I started it up and it felt like it was shaking a little. Then I drove it and it was fine for bit and then I stepped on the gas pedal and there was no acceleration.I tried pumping it and it caught and was moving fine again.

Then Yesterday I tried to start it. And it wouldn't turn all the way over. It didn't sound like the battery was dead. It would make the regular ignition sound just fine. But wouldn't catch and wouldn't start. The check gauge light is on and indicates a battery?

Not sure what the problem is. But thinking it may be a fuel filter? Would love your suggestion.

My truck did the same thing. All I did was gave it a good tune-up. Oil, plugs, wires, and I even flushed the cooling system and it runs fine as of right now. Also test the alternator. That could be draining your battery. As soon as I changed the spark plugs and wires it started right up. Good luck.
