2000 Ford Ranger Repair Question

Ford Ranger Catalytic converter Problem

Ford ranger will crank but not start. Can tow start it and if you keep r.p.m up you can drive it. replaced e,g,r valve and still nothing, When it is running it is under powered.

Many things can cause this. When it won't start, Check fuel pump pressure and for spark to the engine, check catalytic converter to make sure it isn't plugged, check for vacuum leaks.

I checked the fuel pressure and it is good. and like i said if you pull start it it will run just not much power.
