Pull fuse # 17 - 25 amp - in your fuse panel on the drivers end of your dash. This will eliminate any possibilities of the cigarette lighter relating to transmission problems..which I don't think this has anything to do with the tranny though..

As for replacing the transmission, it would be MUCH cheaper just to have a reputable transmission shop replace the solenoid.

Since your transmission has several solenoids, below is an estimate for parts and labor costs for replacing ALL of the solenoids in the tranny. Since only one solenoid is really needing replaced, the price will drop. Please keep in mind that this is a estimate qoute and price will vary from location of shop.

P.S. If you can't see the small print and don't want to save the picture and resize it on your PC, the grand total is $655.25 USD .

My trans cost $3000 for replacement, electric trans cost more. Check your fuzes in the door side panel first, it a good bet that your rev. Lights out. O/d cpu is on same wires as rev. Lights, plate lights. If the plate lights connectors are corroded bad enough it will pop the fuze.
