What engine would you advise me to put in a 96 probe to make it faster? The old engine died. If possible please bless this young one with thy knowledge.

I would use a ZETEC. Std HP around 130. SVT version goes to 170HP. Modded to 250HP. 2L and 2.3L versions. Junkyards have lots of good used engines including SVTs. Lots of performance parts are available. Fit should be easy...
