Had starter fixed, was starting with no problem, then it takes many turns of the key to get the motor to start. Is there short in ignition switch.

At the transaxle NSS neutral safety switch at black and yellow wire look for power when key is in start position not there when you cycle key a few times the igntion switch is gone.

If power is there at NSS when key is cycle in start position. the NSS is okay. Now for the final at blue and red wire at the starter solenoid if you are getting the power and still refuses to crank over the starter solenoid/starter is bad.

I've look for a starter relay but there's none for this 1991 Probe.
