1990 ford mustang 2.3 litre auto. The electric fan is not working when the engine warms up. I pulled the plug on the fan itself and put power to it directly and the fan itself does work. I also checked the fuses under the dash which are also good. Wondering where the problem could lie?

It has to be your Thermo Fan Switch the electric fan works when it picks up a signal from that switch you can find it located on the side of your radiator I believe it is located on the passenger side it is screwed into your fan. This switch goes bad alot of times in a escort and has to be replaced. Rememember to drain your radiator fluid before you remove this switch and that engine is cold.
