Tranny was slipping and not shifting right. We changed the filter thereby dropping the pan. Maybe 8qts drained after dropping the pan. I put in 6 qts. Of rec. Mercon 5 with a 24oz bottle of Lucas transmission. The stick reads full on hot in all gears. Cap. Is 13.9qts. Am I still too low even though it appears full on the stick or do I have a different problem?

Hi
That was right amount of fluid for filter change. Was old fluid dark brown to black? Was there clutch material and/or meatl particles in pan? Where there any codes?
Let me know
Thanks for donate

If I rev it high enough sometimes the tranny will catch and the car will run fine. But after I stop problem persists. Reverse works fine. We lifted the rear end up on jack stands, with no load on the car it seemed to shift better. No codes, no check engine light. Maily the problem is the car just doesn't have any power to move fast but it still moves forward and if I rev it high or catch it just right

Droping pressure due to seals and slipping clutch packs don't see thing but a rebuild or replace.
