I have a 87 GT with trick flow upper and lower intake manilfolds as well as cold air. The rest is stock. It just doesn't seem to have the power it should. I have replaced the coil, cap, and rotor and well as plugs and wires. With the throttle position sensor plugged in the car seems to spuder, however it seems to run ok when it is unplugged. I bought a new TPS and this one makes it run worse. ANy ideas?
This car should be much stronget than it is.

The mustang most likely has a tired engine.I had an 87 to and it ran like a clock slow even my 85 fiero 4 bangger ran better. The engine would iddle normal but still the engine didnt have the power any more so had to rebuiuld it and problem solved ran good again. But even if u get a new engine stock mustangs r not that powerfull like some poeple try to make it seem. They need bolt ons. Even the new mustags suck.
