Hey guys, my wife bent the Tie Rod so we cut it already to get rid of the bend, and took the outer rod off. But the Tie Rod tool doesn't work because the Inner Tie Rod doesnt have the groove like it should. How do we get the Inner Tie Rod off. Like, does the whole system have to come off because of the Famous FORD Engineering group. Thank you for any advice.

Hello -

To better assist you is your model the LX, SE, SVT, ZTS, ZTW, ZX3 or ZX5 and what is the engine size in liter?

This pic from a LX. . ..you must use a pipe wrench.

The Liter is a 2.0. And there is not enough room to fit a pipe wrench in there. Not unless we take the arm down too.

Hello -

Thanks for the info

Well, I hate to say but the car manufactures don't seem to build cars you can work on at your home. Unless your home has a lift or a pit..... Which not many do.

Try using 4 jack stands and lift the entire car as high as you can get it.
