my code reader says i have a misfire in cyl 4. i changed the plug and wire and still get the same reading. what else can i do

bad fuel injector or a bad point in distributor cap.

You can check for a vacuum leak. Sounds like spark isn't the issue. Spray some carb cleaner around the intake manifold and see if there is a idle fluctuation.

Can compression test the cylinder...
