My windshield wipers quit on me a few days ago, also the front and rear washer does not work either. I replaced the relays, still not working. My question is, do I need to replace the wiper motor or the switch on the steering wheel?

Ok first I need you check fuse number 55 it is a 20 amp. Then check fuse number 43 as well. I also need to know if you have a digital multi meter do run a couple of tests if needed. Get back to me.

I checked fuse 55 and it was burned out, fuse 43 was good. I did not know I had a fuse for the front wipers. :( I replaced fuse and both wipers now work. Thank you very much, you saved me a little more than a few bucks.

It is an old question racefan966, but it helpt me. In the manual of my Ford focus car, fuse 56 is mentionned for the front wipers and fuse 55 is said to be dedicated for the brake lights. Thanks to you I checked fuse 55 and I could see it was burned out.
Many thanks racefan966
