Engine Performance problem
2000 Ford Focus Automatic 84,000 miles

I just replaced plugs & wires, oil change and added dry gas & engine system cleaner. When my car idles in drive it sounds like it will stall and rocks back and forth. Does this mean I need a new fuel filter or is it something else?

Turns out it's a worn out pcv tube which costs very little to fix. I also discovered that ford focus's fuel pumps have been recalled due to contamination of the filter in the fuel delivery module (fdm) which can block the flow of fuel. The recall# is 03V48200 I called my dealer to inquire about this recall and he gave me the run around so I helped him remember by reading off the information I found from the ford site and lo and behold he knew exactly what I was talking about so please print the information in case you have to show it. Also you don't need a warrantee because free replacement will be available for a period of 10 years following the original purchase of the vehicle, with no mileage limit. Good luck
