1993 Ford Festiva Eats Fan Belt

I have a 1993 Ford Festiva with 62,000 miles- I am the original owner, and I LOVE this car. Lately, the fan belt started squealing. Tightening it stops it for a day or so, but it starts again, and will eventually break. It simply won't stay tight. What can I repair or replace to solve this problem?

Make sure the drive pulley is not loose or bent below is for the alternator belt

See belt adjustment both gauge and deflection method

Make sure the water pump and alternater are turning freely and not locked up. Also check that there is no rust on the area of the pulleys where the belt contacts.
