1962 Ford Fairlane V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual 200000 miles
Hi Can you tell me how do I know that the high pitch sound that is coming from the diff is inside the diff or is it somewhere in the drive shaft Have you a remedy please Thank you.

with a car that is pretty much 47 years old, you can probably rest assured that yoru diff needs a rebuild. U'joints don't whine, tires and rear ends do. You may have to much backlash due to the bearings are etched and having been moved they are wearin out.....
