1989 Ford F-250 brake light

I have a 1989 Ford F-250 and the brake light and anti-lock light on the dash just came on together. What should I check first. Thanks in advance.

If the ABS light comes on my itself then the ABS system is having a problem

but the ABS light also comes on automaticly if there is a problem with the primary brake system.
Like the master cylinder or proportioning valve.

But the first thing to check of course is to make sure it's full.
