Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1984 Ford F250 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I am hearing a loud steady clank when the truck is in drive.I thought maybe was the U-joints but the driveshaft does not wobble. Do you know of any other issues that could be causing this noise?

Check the front axle u joints. They sit right behind the wheels and there is a gap where you can see then on the end of the axle. W/o a better desription this is where I would start. Hope this helps Curt
