hi got a problem .
ive a ford truck F250HD over 8500gvwr and 5.8 gas engine.full floating axle 10.25. big HUB .8 lug.
how can i remove my heavy duty rear brak drums?
got infos, that i must pull the rear axle shaft...
but dont know the steps to do that coz i guess i must replace the seals .inner oil seals and so,too::: found infos ,that i need a puller and step plate adapter, also a sockes with 4 splines ... but i dont have any glue why its so difficult with a heavy duty truck. my handbook tells me how it works with a semi floating axle .,but no heavy duty .can you help me to find the right way and tools and seals and step by step how i can be succsessfully!?

Ok it is not quite as hard as you are reading. You need to remove the 6 bolts that hold the axle to the hub and pull the axle. Then you will need a socket to remove the hub nuts so you can remove the drum. Here is a pic.
