Low idle knock

1997 ford Mustang 118019miles after my last schedualed oil change my car started to knock but it only does it at low idle once above 1500rpms it stops? And ideas?

It sounds like either a wrist pin is knocking, which means you'll need to overhaul the engine, or it could be something as simple as a waterpump. If the bearings go bad in the waterpump, the sound can travel through the engine. To check, remove the belt and start the engine. If the noise goes away. Then look into checking the waterpump. It wont hurt to check the other pulleys too
