Ignition tumbler loose

I have a 93 f-150 105000m. I turned the key to start, and all of a sudden the tumbler went loose. I had to pull some fuses to get the engine to shut off. I bought and installed a new tumbler, but same problem. Any suggestions?

Must be they had problems with the ignitions on the 93 F150's because I can not pull the key out of mine. I know this didn't help but I didn't want you to feel alone. Sorry!

Ford had a recall on those ignitions but I doubt it would still be covered. Sounds like you both need to replace the key tumbler assembly.
