I have a 2001 F-150 Supercrew. I get a whirring/groaning type of sound when turning at slow speed. It does not matter whether I turn right or left. Sounds like the rear end, but not sure.
The strange thing is that it only happens after the truck has been driven for a while. If I make a short run to the store or something it is fine. But when I drive to work, by the time I get into the parking lot the noise is there.
It seems like something has to be warmed up for it to happen, or either the truck has have gotten up to a certain speed. I have had the brakes done, and I also had them check the wheel bearings. Any ideas on what may be causing this problem?
