1997 Ford F-150 AC Compressor Clicking and squeeling

AC Compressor Clicking and squeeling when on and off as well. I have to say that nothing even changed when I unplugged the compressor. It partially quiets a little here and there but it still blows Ice cold, just makes alot of noise out of the compressor.

Yeah, the bearings are probably shot, you'll have to have it replaced. Or try to shoot some pag oil in the system to see if that will quiet it down, if not, you'll have to replace it

Check and make sure it is the compressor, have seen pulley bearins going bad. Check the belt tensior pulley to make sure it is free turning and any other pulleys. You can take a small piece of rubber hose and place it on the a/c compressor and listen with the other end. If it sounds like a humm it may be all right. Also check the altinator for any grinding noises.
